The Touchdown Dance That Brought New Patients to These Practices
Have you seen a touchdown dance contest?
It’s pretty fun.
My Social Practice sent out an invitation to see which dental team could come up with the best touchdown moves.
And they responded.
Check it out.
In this collection of videos, you may or may not witness middle-aged doctors doing the Dirty Bird, The Ickey Shuffle, The Fun Bunch, and/or the OG of touchdown dances, the Elmo Wright.
They compiled some of their favorites in this Facebook highlight video:
A bunch of people in scrubs getting down like tiny Travis Kelsey’s on the shiny linoleum floor of their practice.
What’s so great about that?
Well, I have three reasons this is awesome to start:
1. New Patients. This social media campaign brought in new patients.
2. Morale. It’s a fun way to knit your team even tighter, and build up your office morale-momentum.
3. Humanized Brand. It adds a personal touch with friendly and happy faces to your practice, unlike the borderline robotic approach of many social campaigns.
Here’s what My Social Practice had to say about it:
Beyond just having a chance to win a prize, we also wanted participants to discover the branding and marketing power of sharing videos that showcase your practice culture. We looked at entry videos that practices had posted on their own pages, and found that they were not only helping to build relationships, but attract new patients as well!
And attract new patients it did! Not to mention simultaneously turning current patients into happy advocates of the brand.
Let’s take a look at the results.
Chesterfield Hilltown Dental is first on the list. Why? Because they’re awesome. Just check out their latest Facebook video campaign, “Dare the Doc,” and you’ll see why.
Between My Social Practice and Chesterfield Hilltown Dental, they got:
► Over 150k views.
► Hundreds of shares (I lost count after three hundred).
And you know what?
They didn’t even place in the contest.
That’s how well the campaign performed, bringing in thousands of views, likes and shares. And of course, the most important thing – new patients.
The winner of the Most Social Media Engagement award went to Happy Smiles, who got 17 shares, 266 likes and 9.9k views. Better still, they helped a new patient find them and “reminded at least one person to set an appointment!”
The overall winner of the contest was Midlands Pediatric Dentistry, who won first place, plus the ultimate prize of new patients and interactions thanks to this simple contest.
